Investor pitch coaching for founders and executives

PIC helps founders and executives tell their company story to the people deciding whether to fund it. We customize your program around the raise you are actually in. A complimentary initial consultation is offered.

Investor pitch coaching covers these critical areas:

  • Building the company story an investor can repeat
  • Influential messaging and what to lead with
  • Controlling the quantity and complexity of technical detail
  • High-impact oral and nonverbal delivery
  • Handling the hard questions, including the ones you dread
  • Controlling nerves in a room that can say no
  • Practice and video coaching against your real deck
  • Application to each meeting in your diary, as it comes

Founders and executives come to us when:

  • A raise is underway and the meetings are already booked
  • The science is sound but the story is not landing with people outside the field
  • A founding team presents together and needs to tell one story
  • An internal capital request carries the same stakes as a raise
  • Nerves are getting in the way of work that deserves to be funded

Our investor pitch coaching is built on the PIC Presence26™ System, and sessions are customized around your actual raise. Most clients run a session shortly before each meeting rather than doing all the preparation once at the start — how an engagement runs sets out the stages and the prices in full.

What to expect from your investor pitch program

  • Assessment and goal plan
  • Your company story rebuilt for an audience that is deciding
  • Customized techniques for messaging, delivery and questions
  • Practice and video coaching against your real deck
  • A session shortly before each meeting, where it counts most
  • Ongoing measurement of progress

We work on the story first, then delivery, then nerves — deliberately in that order. Controlling nervousness is far easier once the material is genuinely solid, and much of what people call anxiety is an accurate read that the pitch is not ready yet. If fear of speaking is the larger problem, start there.

Who this is for

If this is for you

You are the person in the room — a seed round, a Series B, or an internal capital request with the same stakes. Your program includes:

  • A complimentary, pressure-free consult
  • Assessment and a goal plan before anything is booked
  • Your actual deck and your actual raise, worked on directly
  • Rehearsal on video, with the hard questions asked properly
  • A session shortly before each meeting, not just at the start
  • Unlimited communication with your coach between sessions

If this is for your founding team

Two or three people who present together and currently contradict each other in small ways an investor will notice. Our most popular engagement combines group and individual sessions: the group builds one shared story, and the one-to-ones focus on customized goals for each presenter.

  • A shared narrative, so the team tells one story
  • Hand-offs and interruptions rehearsed, not improvised
  • Individual sessions for whoever carries the most air time
  • Peer practice and feedback
  • Group rates are quoted per coach

What’s included

Building your company story

Analyzing your listeners, building your messaging, and developing the version an investor can repeat to a partner who was not in the room — a much harder test than the version that satisfies your own team.

Persuasion and controlling detail

What to lead with, how much technical depth a given room actually wants, and how to answer a question fully without reopening the whole deck.

High-impact delivery and handling nerves

Effective speed and pace, outstanding nonverbal skills, and practical methods for staying calm under pressure — practiced against video rather than talked about.

Why people choose us for work that matters

  • A named system, published in full

Twenty-six competencies with names, grouped into five categories. You can read the whole thing before you spend anything — most firms will not show you their method.

  • Thirty years, and the receipts

The Today Show, Oprah, the Wall Street Journal and Women’s Health. Three published books, all of them translated. Fifteen thousand clients.

The Train the Presentation Coach Certificate Program is one of the few of its kind — organisations pay to have their own HR and L&D people trained and credentialed by us.

Discuss your program

Common questions

Yes — investor presentations are our specialty. We will help you with your story, your messaging, delivery, practice and feedback. Tell us the date and we will tell you honestly what is realistic in the time you have: two weeks is enough to change a pitch materially, and three days is enough to fix the opening and the questions.

Enough to change outcomes, which is the only measure that matters. One start-up executive who came to us before a run of investor meetings went on to close three investments in the seven figures.

Very likely. Over thirty years the concentration has been in biotech, healthcare, finance and technology — fields where people have deep expertise and need it to land with someone who does not share it.
