Who we help

For executives, and the leaders coming up behind them

You are the one in the room. Something is coming up, or a role is changing, and how you come across has stopped being a detail.

Almost everyone who books this arrives at the same sentence, in some version of their own words: I need this for my career. I need to speak well to move to the next level. I can’t afford not to do this. That is the moment coaching for executives and senior leaders is actually brought in — not when someone decides they are bad at presenting, but when they work out that the gap between what they know and what lands is now costing them something.

The people we work with are directors and above, C-suite, vice-presidents, founders, and the high-potential ones being groomed for a job they have not been given yet. What they have in common is that they are already good at the substance. Nobody here is learning what to think.

When people call us themselves

  • A role is changing, and the audience is about to get more senior than the one you are used to.
  • A specific event is in the calendar and it matters more than the ones before it.
  • Feedback has arrived — a 360, a review, a boss being unusually direct — and it was about how you come across.
  • One presentation went badly, and you have been thinking about it ever since.
  • English is not your first language and you want your ideas to land the way they do in your own.
  • You are technically the best person in the room and have started to suspect that is not enough.

What the coaching is actually like

It starts with a complimentary thirty-minute conversation with Laurie, who takes every first inquiry herself and then matches you to the right coach rather than handing you a list of profiles to choose between. After that: an assessment, goals you can say out loud, ten to twenty sessions, and feedback loops in between so the work compounds instead of resetting.

Sessions are built around what is genuinely in your calendar — the board meeting, the all-hands, the panel you agreed to before you thought about it. Around nine in ten happen over Zoom, which is also where most of the meetings you are preparing for happen. Rates are $475 an hour, or $9,500 for a twenty-hour package, when a company is paying; $375 an hour when you are paying for yourself, and how an engagement runs sets out the whole sequence.

If nerves are the real problem

Some people arrive certain that the issue is content and discover it is fear, and some arrive knowing perfectly well it is fear. Either is workable, and neither is unusual. The Presence26™ System treats it as a competency with techniques attached — the same way it treats speaking to the executive level — rather than as a personality trait you are stuck with.

If that is the whole of it, and a coaching engagement is more than you want to commit to right now, Laurie’s self-paced fear of public speaking course covers it for a great deal less. We would rather point you there than sell you something larger than the problem.

Twenty-six competencies with names, grouped into five categories. You can read the whole thing before you spend anything — most firms will not show you their method.

No discovery call required to find out what it costs. Both programme structures and the rates are published, along with what happens if those numbers are a problem.

Companies We've Coached

Thirty years, more than fifteen thousand clients, and three published books. Most of the people we coach are paid for by their employers, which is worth knowing before you assume this is out of reach — the conversation about who pays is one Laurie has had many times.

Laurie is just simply "awesome", she will bring you to places that you never thought were possible. Working with Laurie has really been transformational for me, to say the least. Her sessions go way beyond teaching you to speak at a presentation. Words could never describe what Laurie has taught me. She is an inspiration who not only helped me understand how to increase my self-confidence, but also coached me on how to be committed to preparation/readiness.
